The cacti at the hospital campus come alive with brilliant flowers during summer. This annual sight is a visual feast. A row of different cacti bloom for about three months during the year!
I feel that they get noticed less as they are placed in pots in a corner of the courtyard of the building that houses the canteen. I asked the gardener why they are placed in a less noticeable place. His response, ' they need direct sunlight all the time to flower'!
The plant bears the brunt of the heat to produce bright flowers!
Life has has some rich gains, when lived in adverse circumstances! A domestic helper who works in the department often talks about her blessings in life! She has lot to endure, but hers is joyful spirit!
