The Buttercups in our courtyard open around 8 am as the sun rays fall on them. It was the turn of butterfly to come visiting for nectar before the flowers close around 11 am. Usually it is the honey bees who are the first visitors to gather the nectar. This butterfly moved from one flower to another and flew away to other flowers nearby only to return to the buttercups.
It was a pleasant and revealing message in the morning. Nature's way seems to be one of giving. We begin the day receiving sun rays. We receive rain and water. We plant and the trees give us fruits. We sow the seeds and they sprout to give us grains. The bees and butterflies pollinate the flowers to continue the life cycle.
In fact the bees and butterflies do, what we cannot do, silently and regularly.
It is then, I was reminded of the many acts of thoughtfulness that come to us, unasked for even from strangers.
A person whom I do not normally meet in the hospital stopped me on the way to the car park two days ago and said that he visited to this blog spot regularly. He mentioned that he was fond of reading about experiences shared in the blog about the gift of 'givenness' which we freely receive from God, family and friends. He said, 'we are given in order that we can give'!
The nature is the theatre where we see the gift of giving in its abundance!
That is what occurred to me when I saw the butterfly feeding on the nectar and later in the day, watching the pigeons quenching their thirst from the swimming pool!
The nature gives its provisions to all who inhabit the earth !
