These two dogs played for long by pulling each other by holding on to the ends of the cloth. It is a usual form of play that dogs resort to during their infancy.
What made me curious about this was a comment from a school going child that it is one way dogs train themselves in self defense.
For several days, there has been news items in the TV and print media about the need for women to practice self defense. I have been following this debate in the national media. There are many women who go for Karate and fencing training in the cities.
Any society that underplays disrespect or violence towards women and justifies it by attributing it to the way women dress, is insensitive to the real issues that women face in society. I feel that women are subject to a lot of pressure and stress due to irresponsible behavior from men. I wish women will not reduce their bodies to be objects of attraction and men will show courtesies to women that they rightly deserve!
This can happen only if men respect their spouses and treat them with great dignity at home . A home is the training ground for good behavior for children! If chidden grow up watching how women at home are regarded and respectfully related to, it will stay with them as a model for future. A society travels the path of nobility only as much as it regards women with honour.
