A parable of life

There are sights such as this, on the road side, that can engage your attention. It is a trunk of a dead tree, being eaten away by white ants. The earth that the white ants bring to the trunk, becomes the bed for plants and weeds to grow. The plants survive  even in such extreme circumstances.

Out of the bed of death and destruction, life emerges, which is a sign of hope to all those who are buried in  chaos and pain.

Two overseas visitors to Pondicherry, seeing  the desperation of children who lost both their parents due to HIV infection decided to retune to India and start a home for such children. Some children from this home  visit me for consultation. I am amazed at the children's ability to cope in spite of threat to their own life, due to their  infected status with HIV.

The instinct to live and love life will always triumph as humans are covered and infused by God’s love. What displaces pain is love; what restores hope is friendship and what kindles joy is self-acceptance. Life will triumph over circumstances because the spirit within humans is the Spirt of God, that enabled Jesus to triumph over the cross at calvary.
