Colour rich and colour blend !

The first cluster of flowers appears colour rich ! 

The second cluster of flowers is a colour blend !

My thoughts ran in all directions while spotting these two clusters of flowers located in our garden fairy close to each other. 

Carl Jung's theory of 16 models of personality got regrouped into type A, B, C, and D personalities according to Myer-Briggs Type indicator (MBT) classification. 

The ancient Greeks classified human temperament as Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic, and Phlegmatic. 

I felt drawn towards thoughts of such an orientation while taking in the colour rich and colour blend flowers, which created a contrast that captured me to be reflective. 

The colour rich flowers are soaked in colour and the details of the petals are lost in the brilliance of colour. The colour dominates and subdues the features of the flower petals. 

The flowers which are colour blend, reveal the anatomy of the petals and  details that are unique to the flowers. 

The colour in the first cluster of flowers concealed the details of the flower petals and the colour in the second cluster of flowers revealed the details of the flower petals. 

I thought that there is likely to be something deeper in this substrate of thoughts !

I was awakened to wonder in this context, if colour rich state is a metaphor for appearance! The appearance is all about the external. In a fashion prone life style people choose, appearance masks the real person. What is external is material, transient and can be a camouflage.  What is external can make the rest opaque. 

The colour blend on the contrary,  can be a metaphor for transparency and self disclosure! The external would point to the internal. A person's authenticity and integrity get revealed in such a situation. 

When I was beside a rose flower above, these thoughts got further clarified. Most of this flower petals of this flower is like a colour blend. Only the petals beneath are colour rich. 

That borough cheer to my soul. How refreshing it is to know that most of our being can be open, transparent and authentic, although there might be a layer of appearance which leaves us opaque and unknowable !

The journey in life is towards an incremental openness and authenticity!
