What used to be a place for scores of migrating birds, the wetland has only few of them during this season!
Anna nd I watch these birds on our way to work and back. The live form the feeds which they find from the marshy land. But the water has dried up with the summer setting in with 39 degree celsius.
Now that the harvest is also over, they do not have any other sources of food!
So most of them have moved to better places.
I pondered over this experience of the migrating birds. They change two or three paces every year. They have nothing permanent for them. They live freely and detached.
One of the struggles we as humans have is our attachments!
Friendship is an attachment. But even that is transient.
The mission in life is to learn to live with least of attachments ! Then journeying into life becomes possible! We journey into our lives to find the treasure in our 'earthen vessel'!
When he discovered that he trusted Bishop Desmond Tutu with the mission of 'Truth and Reconciliation commission' which gave South Africa an opportunity for recovery from its history of racial discrimination!
Live with a focus on, 'peace, goodwill and joy' for humankind! When this becomes our calling we feel detached from our attachment to self promoting habits!
