The rose bushes in our garden are thriving with day and night temperature favouring them to thrive!
The 'giving' nature of these plants is seen in the buds and flowers they bear during this time.
Growing and giving are two functions they express through their presence !
Their vocation is to give! They receive their nurture from the soil, sunshine, rain, mist and the pruning !
Children grow up in the garden of a home and family! They grow when they receive the formative environment! Parents give and children receive to grow!
I wonder whether giving habits in parenting practices have suffered and children grow up less connected to their home!
Parents create the traction for children to find the home as their favourite place of belonging and thriving !
When parenting becomes the vocation of a father and mother, the home becomes a shelter for children to grow up loved, valued and affirmed,
A friend told me recently that if the ambience of parenting is, 'attention, acceptance and affirmation', then children are well anchored in the home !
