What if we turned our walks into sighting birds! We will get to know about their habits.
All the birds above were almost hidden in the foliage or in distance!
One of them was gathering twigs to make its nest.
The Drongo was perhaps asleep! Another was calling out with its bird call!
I came back from the walk thinking about the native birds around our cottage. They come almost daily but only few of them make the neighbourhood their residence.
A farmer told me that birds get frightened by fire and smoke, crackers, thunder and lightening; but they feel welcome when there are fruits, berries, grains, etc in the garden!
The news through the day was violent protests in different parts of India over the recent citizenship Act.
This evening walk lifted my spirit and gave me a sense of gratefulness for the symbol of peace the birds bring through their singing presence all around us!
