Sights that hold attention!

The photos above, during the walk on morning reminded me of the silent things in the garden !

Each of the sights has its own story!

The last of the photos is that of an Egret who is an occasional visitor to our garden. With the fields getting transformed into a rubber nursery, the marshy filed is no more around for the Egrets to have its day spent with cattle which used to be grazing in the field. So Egrets look out for better places to hunt for their feed.

The pressure of displacement is upon the avians. The open areas are getting converted into building sites. The trees disappear due to buildings under construction.

The house sparrows and Eurasian sparrows we used to have in the light wooded areas around our house are no more seen as the trees were cut for building houses.

The butterflies which used to be plenty in our garden are fewer now as insecticides used in the rubber nursery below our compound have displaced the butterflies to safer place.

The story of loss and gain is the norm for avian life!

The Bulbuls are residents in our garden. More birds come to visit the garden hearing the chirps of these birds, which is the reason for more birds to make our garden a flight station during their morning and evenings flights !

Some birds like to socialise and come to the courtyard to get our attention! That is the highlight of the day sometimes.
