A tree garden !

A tree garden is a treat to watch, to get a glimpse of the message of abundance of life in nature. A tree has its unique trajectory of growth and branching to create a canopy of foliage which is one large source of oxygen in the biosphere.

A six year old boy pointing to the Christmas tree he was decorating told us in a video meeting that he brought Christ home. That sounded a lovely thought to listen to.

A tree has many symbolic meanings to different people. When I walked in the tree garden of an institution recently. I felt the serene sense it brought within. A tree gives us a visual glimpse of the travails of circumstances through which a tree grows to become what it was to be.

The ornamental look a fir tree provided as seen in the last photo above, was a special sight to watch. All the tender leaves have a pinkish hue, which gradually becomes evergreen with new pink shoots replacing them. This display of hue of colours is its pattern.

I looked out for nests, birds and squirrels and found some. The fallen leaves resting on the ground gave the soil the source of nitrogen when the leaves would disintegrate in moisture to be absorbed in to the soil to keep it fertile.

A tree is ever giving while it lives ! Its leaves, flowers, fruits, foliage and branches are its offerings to others. The roots while in search for water, keep the soil hospitable to earthworms and microbes. The ants of different species make their home adjacent to the roots of trees.

The trees preserve the eco-system. I felt delighted seeing how the institution had a plan to take care of its tree garden to allow the natural eco-system to evolve normally! I noticed a water conserving plan in place to protect and feed the soil.

This tree garden is a tribute to human mindfulness! I got to know that they try to plant ten trees when one tree is cut for some reason.

The green belt between the tree gardens was another novel idea that I noticed. As overgrowth under the shade of trees do not thrive due to lack of sunlight, the in between stretches of tree garden allow the wild grass to grow.

I came across this bunch of flowers to greet me at the end of the walk! The trees speak the language of silent presence!
