I sighted the following birds in unusual places this morning. They were partly hidden and would have escaped my attention. All of them were beyond the range of visual identification. It was possible to sight them because of the help of the telephoto lens.
The common thing about all these birds is their hiddenness at a distance.
There is a host of events all the time taking place all around us. We live our lives thickly engaged with what is immediately before us.
This brings home a truth that adults would benefit from. We have limitations to be fully informed. Our opinions are therefor might not be representative of the whole truth. Many truths remain hidden or submerged or in ambush.
It is in listening to others we get to hear or see what we might have missed.
Out of the 12 birds I sighted this morning half of them were hidden. I had missed them. It was by chance I used the landscape view of the zoom lens, which surprised me with new sightings.
There is more to the truth, facts, or informations than what we believe or strongly advocate as the whole, because of which we can push the discussion to a conflict prone ambience.
To be gentle with ourselves and others and be open to know beyond what we already know is a sound way of making others as our collaborators in seeking for the whole truth!
I landed in a difficulty yesterday about the route on our road travel. It was the google map and the enquiry at a shop which guided us when we were lost.
I became even more conscious following that even experience does not ensure perception of the whole. We perceive subjectively and the truth is beyond that!
