The buds are pink and the flowers are white! The different stages of transition from pink to white is visible in the flowers.
It reminded me of the Ericsson's seven stages of life. With advancement in age, we enter into a new phase of maturity and realisation of our human potential.
The ability to change from pink to white is inherent in the flower as that is how the plant conditions the flowers.
Our transitions in life to live fully and in an integrated manner becomes a reality as much as we are grounded in the God of our lives, 'in whom we live, move and have our being'.
A nine year old boy told me that his older brother of fifteen years is so much different from him. He described his brother as his role model because his brother often thinks of him and is ever ready to help!
What a tribute to the older boy who made his journey to be an adult in behaviour with thoughtfulness towards his brother.
I stay with this thought as I begin a new day and week!
