The sighting of African Ibis in marshy land, Egrets in a shrub and Pekin in water fascinated Anna and myself today, while we were on an outing.
The Ibis might be on their migratory travel, the Egrets might be nesting and the Pekin might be home bred for meat by a local farmer.
It is one time I missed not having the Zoom lens ready at hand.
The water birds fascinate us as Katharine and Peter in London took us walking in the bank of river Thames whenever we visited them in London, during which time they pointed our attention to different species of waterbirds.
We remembered Peter and Katharine today for twenty-five years of friendship. Their home was a place where we received unusual hospitality and loving attention.
Some people stay in our thoughts and memories become dearer with each succeeding year.
