Shades of opinions !

The above photo of the rose flower in the porch of our cottage is an unedited version of the photo taken yesterday at day break.

The five photographs below are the edited versions which the photo edit software of the computer suggested.

The five versions of the original differ in colour, exposure, details and visual appeal.

The original and versions have lot in common. The differences are noticeable only to a searching eye.

The shades of opinions on any matter is filtered by a person through the optic of his or her experiences, insights and information.

The above shades is not like the perception of a glass half empty or half full! It is factually correct both ways. What reveals in it is the orientation of a person when he or she chooses either perception.

The flower above would have different photographic shades depending on when the photo is taken as the light conditions and lens of the camera decide! The variables are what would affect the images of the flower!

I feel disturbed by the complexity of the dialogue that takes place in the social platform in the internet on any issue that naturally can have shades of opinion. The openness to accept shades of opinion and be tolerant versus the imposition of a personal opinion without space for dialogue or negotiation.

A truth seeker is open, inquisitive and generous in his or her search! He or she is aware of bias and therefore uses tools of objectivity before forming impressions.

One evidence of openness to truth is willingness to be reconciled to the reality when one is fairly satisfied at the end of an enquiry. The willingness to revise an opinion based on the available facts is a freeing and enlarging experience. It is this attitude that keeps a person generous in attitude and tolerant in behaviour!

I wish human behaviour towards each other would have more of this civil dimension!

Just this openness towards each other would have resolved the war in Gaza, Ukraine and the tariff war the president of the USA is engaged in or the anti-immigrant protests in some countries!

We have more in common as fraternal beings than what seem to separate us from each other!

The original and the five images of the flower have lot in common! Is that not a common denominator for consideration and acceptance of each other!
