The above small flowers in our garden do not get noticed often when larger flowers draw the attention.
It was when I noticed a Sunbird gather nectar, I got thinking about the small flowers little more!
I remember noticing Butterflies, Bees and other insects on these small flowers.
They too are giving !
Being present to bring colour and aroma and to give nectar!
Yesterday, being the Teacher's day, I received some greetings !
One greeting referred to 'being present to give', which is the vocation of a teacher!
Among the greetings I received, there were three from my teachers who remembered various occasions of joint involvements !
How refreshing it is to live 'giving and receiving' ! This is a contrast from acquiring and possessing!
A common Iora is an infrequent visitor to our garden! But when it visits, it gives away its bird calls that fall in the listener's ear as a melody!
Giving is life-giving !
That is what the small flowers in our garden do !
