At dusk, when it was drizzling, a Magpie robin was in the garden finding its meal for the evening!
It found a caterpillar, berry and a dry fruit before it flew away.
The Magpie robin knew where to search for its feed. It is one of its regular places. It lives its rhythm and follows its instincts.
I feel surprised by the way birds live their orderly lives amidst the changes in the environment.
Around the same time a Bulbul was at the feeding table and feeding on the banana fruit!
How reassuring it is to know that life is nurtured by the giving earth!
I recall the confession of the Psalmist in the Bible in Psalm 24: 1-2, 'The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him' .
Amidst this order and design of God, we come across huge human suffering in Gaza due to war imposed upon the Palestinians, Ukrainian people living fearfully due to the Russian invasion, and people in Afghanistan affected by the recent each quake! The recent anti-immigration protests in the streets in Britain and Australia send another message of a polarising world from what it was known for about forty years as a globalised world.
I ponder over the transitions in the human behaviour!
The view of God towards humanity is oneness, togetherness and neighbourliness!
I observe how men and women in different parts of world take lead to bring the spirit of fraternity, mutuality and collaboration in a proactive way.
I closed the day with this imagery that restful living amidst the turmoil and turbulence is a reality which is worth pursing!
