Who takes away the Rambutan!

The rain make the birds rush to any place they can find their food, during the dry spell. We had many bird gathering in our Rambutan tree yesterday where the fruits were in the ripening stage. The birds had a celebrant time. It was one occasion when birds and squirrel did not quarrel with each other.

When Anna went in the evening to pluck some for us, she found the tree bare of ripe fruits.

We ended up consoling ourselves by saying that a garden is also for the avians.

I tried distracting  the birds by putting extra beed in the feeding bowl.

But the birds moved back to the Rambutan tree when the food in the bowl was over!

What was consoling at the day was the presence of about 20 birds through the day in the garden unlike their usual short stay between flight movements.

That was give and take, looking back !
