Me, Mine and Myself!

A squirrel who had an exclusive access to a pile of rice resists another squirrel from sharing the meal. The second photograph  of the squirrel with its tail lifted up tells us how possessive it was of its meal.

Finally the squirrel eats its meal alone with no concession for a fellow squirrel!

This is human story in its most vivid form. It is selfishness at its worst form!

What surprised me was that the squirrel who was possessive of its food abandoned it after while when it longer could eat anymore.

This instinct, 'What is mine is mine alone even if I do not need it' is creeping in to our social fabric.

The contribution that came into the Chief Minister's flood relief fund is less than what Keralites spend on alcohol in a year!

True freedom is when we can see each other as neighbours worthy of our attention!
