Anna and I want to remember our women friends, who are from about ten countries, including India. On this international women's day we remembered friends from each country with one flower.
They are single people and married, who offered friendships to us in different ways. We remember many of them who are senior citizens, and others who live retired lives. Those who are still active are many, who keep in touch with us. We feel enriched by their care and concern towards us and our families.
In the newspaper supplement to celebrate women globally, there is a lot of mention about women who are engaged in different roles in public life. I wish there was more reference to their roles as mothers, serving in caring professions, pioneers and home makers.
Women by the virtue of their nature of being a fountain of love and service, make their homes a rich place for children and others.
A neighbour who moved on recently after a short illness with cancer was a person, who held her family together by her diligent attention and by adding to the income of the home through an income generating project.
To all women, Anna and I send greetings of good wishes and cheer! You are valued and cherished, for who you are and what you contribute to the wellness of human life on earth!
Women are an offering of love and care for family lives to blossom!
