Two kingfishers!

About three hundred meters away at height of about fifty meters, with a 400 mm lens using a mirrorless camera, I watched these two kingfishers, having their early morning sunbath! I feel awful about the unsteadiness of my hand, when I look at these pictures! I feel lazy to use a tripod! I feel I bring disrepute to photography because the beauty and elegance of the birds get lost without a tripod!

What came home to me about the kingfishers is the height it chose to look around! It is its way of searching for waterbodies! It needs a vantage position to locate a place and plan for its feed!

It is  a lesson in strategic planning!
