Whenever we watch the birds in the bird house, they seem to be in 'communication' with each other with their chirps which sound special! It is a sight that can remind us about human behaviour!
Yesterday, a family who came to visit with their daughter, who has a progressive illness, spoke a lot about how they are coping with their distressing situation! The couple told me how they take time to share their feelings between themselves. They lost their first child with the same illness. The mother is expecting the third child now! Although they could be rightfully anxious, what they conveyed was ease, comfort, an anticipation. I sense that they were at a heart level communication between themselves!
What is special about humans is this prospect of being in touch with each other at different levels of communication! The 'heart level' communication is all about being open, vulnerable and confessional! To be truthful in gentle and caring ways is the first step in this journey!
