The rice field is ready for harvest.
Anna and I watch this field from the time paddy was planted four months back to its present state of being ready for harvest, as this field happens to be on our way to the hospital where we work!
We have often seen the farmer watching over this field and doing all that is necessary to prepare for the harvest!
A farmer waits for this moment! Now that the waiting is almost over, I wondered what the farmer would think about his efforts and the outcome.
Jesus of Nazareth talked about this experience of the farmer. Th sower sows and goes to sleep and he does not know how the seed sprouts and grows! It is an experience that is beyond just biology of growth! It is the process which begins by one seed sprouting to multiply into several corn heads! the seed when buried under the soil brings forth new life!
Some of us who feel challenged and subdued by the demands of living can draw some inspiration from the fact that, it is when we can let go, there is prospects for new life!
