The sunshine falls differently in its intensity on these two faces, so much so one has to gently flex the neck to avoid the brilliance of light blinding his sight!
The desert fathers refer to God in an imagery as a dazzling light! We humans can behold only a faint view of God because everything about Him being eternal, temporal beings can experience the reality of God only in a limited way!
However, what was revealed in Jesus of Nazareth about the nature and character of God was enough of the fullness of God which any humans can experience.
Light we cannot behold fully, but its impact makes us journey from darkness to Light!
Humans long for for more of this Light because it is Light that enlightens us to live our lives purposefully! Only this Light can reveal to us the significance of our life !
