Every time I listen to the final benediction at a marriage service, I am conscious of the transformation that took place between the beginning of the service and the end of the service! The couple came single accompanied by their parents and at the end of the service they walk through the tile united to live together!
Symbolically this union has happened when they say the vows to each other in God's presence and in the company of the congregation!
It is a mystery and adventure! As Anna and I attended this wedding, we were almost on the eve of our 41st wedding anniversary. We are still experiencing the blessedness of the mystery of marriage. It is also a challenge because through this union, the two shall 'become one flesh', which happens through mutual self disclosure and living in the covenant relationship!
Marriage is the most blessed experience to those who are ready to explore the joys of life through shared experiences with your life partner who is often better than yourself ins some dimension orr other!
