Lillies in Summer!

The lillies in our garden normally blossom twice a year, one time is now! These flowers are richer in colour during this season!

We have rows of these lilies all along the edge of of our garden and they are usually a visual delight whether they are in blossom or not! When they are without flowers their bright green leaves bring a good look to the garden as they are in rows and stand out because they are taller than some other flowering plants  in the garden!

These flowers last about ten days and they would last a few days when used un table decoration!

If I remember well, Anna brought a few bulbs of these lilies from Nilgiris when we were living at Vellore in the late nineties. Since then, we gave away number of shoots and bulbs to our neighbours and we had plenty in our garden at Pondicherry and now we have them in our cottage!

It reminds me of its nature- to multiply wherever they are planted!

It is a message to carry within us! We are to be gracefully present wherever we are located!
