The morning thoughts!

Every morning, when I take Dulcie for a walk at dawn, the three sights above of the front garden from the steps of our cottage greet me with a message for the day.

The pool of water still visible in the courtyard told the story of the rain at night!

It was the Taylor bird that greeted me with its tuneful bird calls, when I walked out towards the gate.

Anna and I inherited this property from my parents. It is now seventy years since my parents acquired it. Anna and  live in this property now for thirteen years. It provides us a space to live close to nature experiencing some of exciting events each day.

To have birds visit us for their feeds from early morning at the feeding table, is another delightful sight to watch.  One Bulbul is waiting to arrive! at the feeding table

As I returned from the morning walk with Dulcie,  the thought that stayed with me was the gift of a garden, that we inherited and the small delights of each day! I recall how my parents turned this barren land into a green house of plants, trees and flowers!

Anna makes an effort to share the produce from our garden,  vegetables and  fruits with our neighbours.

One neighbour who came to live two years ago in this locality mentioned that they were not used to gestures of friendships in the earlier locality where they lived.

It was then it occurred to us that small acts of thoughtfulness make people feel for each other!

Every day is an opportunity to befriend others with the little we can offer by way of our goodwill!
