The incessant rain brings considerable disturbance to the bird movements in our garden!
One of them is the dislocation to their flight movements. The Bulbuls who leave the garden after their morning feed to move to other flight stations stay around and live largely on the food they can find in the feeding table. If we forget to replenish, the Bulbuls would arrive with their chirps announcing their presence for feed.
One interesting habit of theirs is their mindfulness towards each other.
I noticed that a Bulbul after having arrived at the feeding table waited, to feed till another Bulbul arrived hearing its bird call! The bird calls are of a special nature on such occasions.
The Bulbuls have a friendly orientation towards each other and birds of other species.
The smaller birds like Sunbirds come to give company to the Bulbuls while they are at the feeding station!
This fraternal behaviour is common among most species of birds who visit our garden! Sometimes squirrels disrupt this harmony. But Squirrels have Rambutan in the garden to feed on. So they do not have find food at the feeding station.
There is an inherent harmony in nature!
This brought an awareness about the harmony in family life. Every family has at least three generations of blood relatives! How is the inherent harmony among them!
The undercurrents in families of subtle and silent tensions in relationships often do not get attention, to reduce the stress level in relating to each other.
A family environment is able to bring healing and renewal when conversations can take place in a cordial and trustful manner!
The family environment is for edifying and upbuilding each other!
