The road side scenes while on our way and back from the hospital is full of sights that tell a lot about the fertile soil and the enterprising efforts of farmers. Each house has a small garden. It is ur ego find a few banana plants in the garden.
At one time, my parents had thirteen varieties of banana plants in our garden. We now have just four types!
Banana is the fruit desert that is often served after a meal. It is the first fruit which is often introduced to infants as a weaning food. It is the cheapest and readily available fruit in the market.
The leaves of the banana plant is used in hostels to serve meals. The central stem is used for cooking.
The banana chips made form raw and rice banana are popular snacks.
It is a fruit that is affordable even for a low income family!
