This is the second annual Christmas Cheer sale, the department of Developmental Paediatrics and chip Neurology organised recently at the MOSC Medical College. During that three hours, the food items are sold out. What remained were some framed photos and shopping bags.
The remarkable thing about this sale was the way it was organised. My colleagues in the department planned and worked for it for about a month!
The proceeds of this is set apart for establishing a Transition Planning Centre for adolescent children who are neutron-developmentally disadvantaged and are unable to carry on with regular schooling. W hope to focus on leading them to be more equipped in some skills which woeful enhance their independence and employability!
During the last four years, the department has been on a progressive journey in creating facilities- Child Development Centre, Early Learning Centre, Learning Resource Centre, and Family Life Centre. With the new facility, which we hope to have it ready by March 2017, the department has a model of services for all age groups of differently abled children.
