It is now about five years since we have a feeding station for birds in our garden.
Now about five different species of birds come to visit the feeding station. From being a flight station for birds, the garden has become a destination for some birds for their feed !
It became an opportunity to learn about bird behaviour.
The Bulbul birds feeds its offspring by dropping the food in the mouth of the juvenile bird.
The Mother Barbet bird has its mouthful of feed from which the juvenile birds pecks its position.
This surprised me. A juvenile Bulbul receives the feed and a juvenile Barbet takes the feed!
Both juvenile birds look bulkier as they are yet to be on long flights to have the body trimmed for flight journeys.
It is when we take time to be appreciate the 'wonders' around us we value the gifts of 'awareness' that observations bring to us !
A garden is a theatre of action !
