A sight with its story !

One large coconut and four other smaller coconut palms adjacent to the large one!

This on the wayside, close to our cottage, tells a story of  some interest to me.  The owner, allowed those occasionally fallen coconut to stay on the ground and allowed them to sprout. The sight of the four smaller ones tells us, of the different ages of the young palms. It is as though the tall coconut palm is like a parent to these young palms.

To me, this is an exhibition sight of history of a palm tree and of its owner in allowing the coconuts to stay on the ground and sprout.

Talking to the owner, I realised that it was not intentional. Occasionally a coconut might have been left unnoticed, under the overgrowth on the ground.

New life on its own, without being planted. In fact coconut palms are planted ten feet away from each other. Although four of them are close to each other, one of them is already yielding.

A chance event in our life, that we did not plan, can be a significant event of some gain.
