A collection for a nest!

A squirrel gathers materials for its nest!

It too is good at planning and building!

It is planning for its family!

That is what is far from reality in today's world.

I came across a family, where father is in the Middle East, mother works in Ireland, one child lives with one set of grandparents and the other child with the other grandparents.

Is this an exception! During a week when I welcomed fifty families for consultation, 22 families had separation from each other on account of their work locations.

I wonder if that is conducive to good attachment behaviour between parents and children!

This drift for pursuit of material benefits is too costly for children!

A smaller house with a happy family rather than a big house with dislocated family is worth a pursuit! Most parents feel the compulsion to upgrade their house to a bigger one for which they have to earn for about fifteen years by working overseas! By then children have grown up without the normal joys of parent-child relationships.

The culture of this place where Anna and I live is a compulsive environment to appear 'successful'! What profit is in the long run, when children grow up having chosen to live the way of their liking!

It is an issue we do not address!

If we bequeath children, then they deserve parent's physical presence during their growing up years normally!
