Moving and singing!

I watched this Babbler in our garden singing its bird song and moving 360 degrees!

It was perched on a twig which had enough holing space for it to just manage. During this movement from one direction to another, it was singing tunefully!

What held my attention was its interest to look around and give away its bird song. That is common to birds. How it overcame its restraining environment.

While listening to a couple yesterday, I realised the restraining pace in which they exist  because of which they behave in a quarrelsome way! They although have been fond of each other and cared for their two children resentment has grown between them. They feel restrained by emotional space between them. They have had high expectations form each other and having not been able to fulfil them, were almost accusatory of each other.

Suddenly in a moment of awakened consciousness, both of them stopped and locked at each other and the husband turned turned to the wife and said,' Why are we quarrelling! We need peace between ourselves and at home'! That led to another quiet conversation between themselves and dispersed to start a conversation between themselves at home. It was after a long time they had talked to each other without getting angry and abandoning the conversation. They felt encouraged that they held a conversation arriving at a meaningful level of openness unlike in the past.

We restrain ourselves when we live and work in a stressful situation. What is needed to turn the restraining environment to become a creative space to explore new realities of meaning and hope. Our circumstances would not change often, but our attitude to the circumstance can be made wholesome by receiving it as an opportunity to go beyond its restraining influence in our lives.

The Babbler had little moving space, but still was singing! When we feel cornered by a restraining experience or circumstance, it creates within us a new song of hope and overcoming instinct!

I found the couple that I referred to earlier showing the way to pursue hope and renew trust!

Life is for living! Living fully in all circumstances!
