Following a good season of temperate weather, coconut palm trees and Nutmeg trees have yielded well in our garden. This is a sign of good air, soil and weather conditions.
I think of children who lost one academic year due to the COVID 19 pandemic. They are likely to loose at least the first part of the current academic year. Their loss is colossal. The medical students especially, the final years and the interns found the past year difficult with most of their learning having been zoom based.
The grief of the school going children and college students in losing their normal way of learning is telling on them, teachers and parents.
So the last academic year and the current one remind us of many losses!
There is new life in our garden, but that is not what I find elsewhere in most walks of life in India now!
It is a time of loss and grief!
That too I trust will pass away!
So the the three pictures in this blogspot are symbols of good things which are in store for all of us!
It is also a time to hear the call to live responsibly.
The Sikh Gurudwara committee in Delhi has shown the way of response to the needs of people living in New Delhi by creating a walk-in oxygen centre for any COVID patient who needs it. The patients are given that service free under medical attention. The gurudwara committee offers help to transport patients to the centre and provide hospitality.
It is a time to live by sharing our resources and serve by self giving mindful of others in need!
