Harvest time!

It is about to be the harvest season in the paddy fields! Anna and I watched these paddy fields from the planting time as we cross these fields on our way to work each day.

For a farmer this season of about four months have been a trying time as water to irrigate the field was released from the dam rather late. We once witnessed once a street protest for releasing water!

For each of us there are travails along the way all the time!

A family who came to visit me yesterday, was through a lot in helping their son to find his way forward from his autistic spectrum in his development. The mother who is a highly accomplished professional has stayed away from work for the last three years since he was diagnosed to be with special needs.

In one sense, the joy of parenting is denied to them! The challenges of parenting are upon them!

As I watched the child and mother interact, I was touched by the amazing consideration the mother has shown even in demanding circumstances!

I respect her for an unusual inner composure and openness! She is a supreme example of noble motherhood!
