A medical student starts his or her long years into training after joining a medical college! The period between internship and getting into the post graduate studies is a trying time for many young doctors. With only one seat available for every thirty doctor, the competition is intense! Most doctors spend time in th coaching classes till they get in for further training !
It was equally competitive during my young days in the profession. But most of us worked as resident doctors in hospitals while waiting for our turn to get in to post graduate terracing! There was no catching programme at that time and even if it was there most of us preferred hands on learning than just floding ourselves with information!
This is becoming an alarming state as young doctors live in anxiety!
Is there a way forward!
