A journey to give!

Anna plucked the ripe Cashew fruit this morning from the tree m our garden to make juice for breakfast today morning!

Anna and I have been following this cashew fruit from the time we noticed it first about six weeks ago. Two other cashews also gave company to it from the early days!

Now the two are left behind for becoming fruits!

Giving fruits is what a cashew tree does through its presence!

Giving by presence!

What Israel is doing is taking Gaza, which was the land designated for the Palestinians, leaving hundreds struggling and facing bleak future! When children gather with bowls in their hand, to collect food from the camps arranged for those who are homeless,  one sees the bereft look in their face!

Does the political leaders of Israel and countries like the USA who supports Israel's policies, pause to look at these children and wonder what future they would have !

Those children are also like a tree, whose fullness of life, when they become adults, would bring fruits for others to relish!

Fighting terrorists may be a national need as they cause harm and behave violently.

But protecting lives of the Palestinians, who are Israel's neighbour is a pressing need. Who do they have, except the neighbours with whom they have had long time association!

The story of a 'giving' cashew tree engages me!

There tree nourished the cashew to become a fruit during the last six weeks!

The tree forms and nurtures the fruit!

When will India and Pakistan reflect and become neighbours to each other and be in a nurturing role to each other!

India had shown the olive branch a few times in the past to Pakistan!

Is not the gift of peace a nation ought to offer to its citizens to nurture them into their fullness !

That is a nation's obligation towards its citizens!
