The rose bushes bear buds and flowers ! That is their function and purpose!
When I finished the shopping yesterday, the steward in the shop offered to carry the bags to the car. But they were small enough for me to carry. When I thanked him for his offer, he said ' I am here to help'!
That kept resonating in my mind while driving back home!
How pleasant it sounded in my ear, when the stewards said, 'I am here to help'!
I wish I have that conscious orientation while engaging with people!
A friend, who is a pulmonologist, who visited us yesterday and helped us with clarifying some of our current medical needs. He offered to go and get the medicines from the local shop. When I thanked him for his offer, his response was, ' I am here to help"!
While at the medical shop yesterday, the store did not have one item of medicine. The shop keeper sent his assistant to get it from another shop to provide the medicine. When I thanked him for his kindness, his response was , 'I am here to help'!
The rose bush is present in the garden to bear, flowers for others! That is its purpose and function.
Each of us is present in the garden of life to help others as much as it is possible! Others are our neighbours even when they are strangers to us!
