The hospitality of a garden !

The Sunbirds skip these flowers above, while on their outing for nectar! But on dry days the honey bees visit these flowers during the day.

I found out that the Sunbirds and Honey bees have different choices. The sunbirds are comfortable with tubular shaped open flowers to gather nectar as they have long beaks !

The nature is a reserve of benefits for all!

The flowers are ornamental or medicinal for humans, but they sustain the life of bees, sunbirds, butterflies, insects....!

The spider lily plants bear delicate flowers of unique design and appearance! When they flower, the flowers overshadow some of the other flowers just because of their unique appearance!

Our garden has a 'washed out' look following two weeks of heavy rains. The garden needs sunshine to thrive!

A sunbird was gathering dry flower heads  from the garden for nesting!

A surprise sight!
