Food from 'Ragi'



The millet, Ragi is a popular food as a weaning diet for children. Most parents in south India would use food cooked with ragi powder as one of the first food supplements to infants after six months of age. 

The first picture shows the Ragi cultivation and the second one is a food prepared from the Ragi powder with layers of coconut in between for breakfast serving for adults.
