The colours of the dawn !

The colours at dawn today in our garden is well represented in the flowers above. There is a radiance the morning sun rays brought to them. They receive the morning light to accentuate their natural glory!

The last two photographs above gave me another message that brought some concerns at a deeper plane of consciousness.

Both photos have flowers which are out of focus which could not be accommodated while focussing. They are marginalised by the pre-set focus point. The optic of leadership in any organisation or civil administration in a democratic set up, is to notice and attend to those in the main stream. The attention on the people who are less able, chronically ill or carry the burden of living beyond their capacity to bear,  people struggling to live amidst brokenness or grief, or  those emotionally labile or victims of addiction are often at the margins, obscured and left out.

The human mental lens is conditioned by what is apparent and evident! What is concealed or submerged escapes attention.

I was carried away by he glamorous sight of the garden with colours which clouded my sight of anything less than that is vibrant.

It was after downloading the photos my eyes noticed the flowers that are out of focus in last two photos and  the flower with dried petals and a bud about to open in the last photograph.

How what looked colourful and inviting concealed the sight of a dried flower and bud ready to open!

Yes, my vision hides what is different from the usual or common! These mind blocks or blind spots make a person live with distorted vision- seeing only what is conditioned by the mind.

It is where the 'heart takes precedence' to look for what is beyond the main stream, hidden in the margins or concealed in the main stream !

It is one thing to be carried away by the colours of the dawn; it is yet another experience to think about those who are denied of the colours of the dawn!

The president of the United States of America has by his recent proclamations and the abduction of the president of a  sovereign nation has provoked the leadership of Russia and China. They challenge his aberrant behaviour. We face a global crisis of trust and accountability!

The political leadership in many countries seek popularity, global preeminence, and acclaim for themselves. They are seekers of glory for themselves.

The United States of America was a hospitable place for asylum seekers since the second World War. Now the very people who felt included in the main stream are those who are being disgraced by the leadership and are forced to leave for their homeland!

It is not a time to be carried away by the colours of the dawn, but a time to engage the undercurrents in the global breakdown of communication and collaboration.

The Pope Leo the XIV, in his recent homily referred to this and reminded that 'Blessed are those who are peace makers'!
