When the Mango tree brought forth its tender leaves as in the first photo, Anna and eagerly looked for flowers to follow! But we have the tree with anew foliage with no flowers. This is the eight year since it was planted! We wait in hope!
I trust that hope sustains waiting!
Giving up is sometimes easier.
In a conversation last week, I realised that waiting has to be seasoned with active readiness, lest it leads to despair.
The farmer visits his field regularly for this purpose. He turns his waiting to an engaging time watching the growing paddy that he planted!
To engage with others who might appear indifferent is also an activity of waiting, which is needed at work place and in the social groups that we are part of.
The gardener who helps us, told me that plants have a rhythm that would be clear to us over a period of time. So it is with people with whom we work. To learn to relate to them corresponding to their way, is a learning journey that I have set for myself in the recent months. It means unlearning and relearning.
That is why life is a living experience with changes and transitions!
