The month of December 2020 was transition for Anna as she formally retired form her academic position from MOSC Medical College.
Among a few special experiences of the month was the visit of Rejit, Sowmya and Caleb to celebrate Anna's birthday with a home made cake. This was touching that even after a month this still stays with us a touching and moving experience. How we felt affirmed and received by that act of kindness and thoughtfulness!
Anna and I feel renewed in our desire to keep others in our thought and consciousness. To leave this dimension behind is natural when there are challenges or limitations. How much ever one is struggling, it is a good practice of thinking of others before one settles down to be self absorbed.
The widow of Zarephath cared to make a meal for Elijah, even though she had just enough flour and oil left for her and her son in that season of drought (1Kings 17:8-16). Th benefit was that came to her was, 'The bowl of flour was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty..'(v16).
Rejit and family brought to us a calling as Anna and I enter in to our retirement mode- live mindful of others!
This is the second time I bring these photos and reflections to this photoblog in a month. It was a significant learning event in our lives and memories resonate in our hearts.
