Meditation of my heart- 26

As I watched these two bulbuls in communicative presence with each other, perched in the Rambutan tree in our garden, I felt drawn by the language of presence!

Presence is the language that God uses to communicate with us! Such a language can be silence sometimes !

Elijah, the prophet at a crucial time in his life, waiting in a state of disheartened spirit in a cave, felt the presence of God, ' in the sound of a gentle blowing' (I kings 19:12). It was this experience that led him to anoint Jehu as the king of Israel and choose Elisha as the successor to him as a prophet (v 16, 19).

The presence of God in silence!

The ambience that God chooses sometimes to make Himself known to human heart is interior silence!

I found a verse in psalm 18: 28, which connected me with this way of God in human lives: 'For Thou dost light my lamp, the Lord my God illumines my darkness'.

That is what God's communicative presence brings to human heart- inward illumination from the lamp within!

Becoming present to the Lamp that God lights within us! That is what makes the darkness to fade with the lamp of God within.

Our domestic helper told me that he felt peace within when he read the parable of the Good Samaritan form the New Testament of the Bible . That was his way of feeling the lamp lit in his soul!

The two Bulbuls while communicating with each other in silence touched me through their communicative presence!
