The gift of Life!

A pair of Sunbirds, one Bulbul at the water bath, three rose buds in one plant and another single one in an adjacent bush, on a summer day in our garden brought a sign of hope !

Today, there will be mock drill all over India fearing an impending war between India and Pakistan!

As I looked at life in our garden, it occurred to me that the message a garden brings to me is of life and opportunity to live!

The leaders of nations in troubled areas speak of retaliation, retribution and punishment!

Whom are we punishing1

Our counterparts, who have a different ideology, mind set or attitude towards others!

God brings His fullness of life on the wicked and righteous alike!

Some nations of the world seem  to be in a policeman's role wanting to regulate how other nations behave.

The voice from Canada and Singapore questioning and countering the revised tariff policy of the United States of America brings a sobering hope in a troubled situation. Both these countries speak with conviction against a distorted view of the USA, arising out of its compulsion to gain at the cost of damage to other nations.

Amidst the travails of summer, the birds and flowers continue to flourish in our garden!

There is a greater power on earth than what the leaders of some nations usurp for themselves!

It is the power of love to care!

A teak tree is in blossom in our garden. Soon its seeds will be food for birds of the air!

Whoever can stop this giving temper in nature!

The nations of the world might stop giving each other to care, but the habit in nature of continuing to give would come back to haunt the leaders of the nations with the message, 'it is in giving we live fully'!

I feel good that the Prime Minster of India is taking time to consider what ought to be an appropriate response to the terrorist attack on tourists in Kashmir! The appeal from the United Nations to both countries to act with restrain is a timely call!

Thousands of people in Pakistan are already in distress after water supply was cut off a week ago by the Indian authorities following the event in Kashmir.

I wonder, when will leaders of some nations come to their senses, to honour the civil code of, ' live and let live'!

The message from the garden around our cottage is all about the, gift of life and shared living !
