I found the Barbet above, at day break, moving towards the top of a tree. It kept looking around intently while climbing. At one time it stopped and kept looking only in one direction. Then its posture was turned to one side with an engaging look!
That is what prompted me to look at the foliage of another tree close by. I saw some movement of leaves. Two Bulbuls were perched next to each other. It was towards the same direction, the Barbet had fixed its gaze !
I noticed their style of communication with each other. Looking in silence!
I remember seeing such engaging look earlier between birds of different species.
I wonder if it was an exchange of appreciative look !
I have a reason to think that way, because they were in this reciprocal look for a bout five minutes, till the Bulbuls flew away!
It was a look of recognition and regard!
That was the avian message to me this morning!
Practice look of recognition and regard, while socially engaged with others!
