It was fascinating to notice a Magpie Robin in the last three weeks receive its usual undercoat from spotted complexion to jet black gradually colour! It is still a juvenile bird. The undercoat under the neck still has a brownish tinge! The process of early growth and development is noticeable.
The feather is yet to turn jet black fully!
It looks hesitant while exploring the ground and moves about searching for its feed cautiously!
What a delight to have Magpie robins nest in our garden and use our garden for their transition into adulthood!
All these happen silently and regularly.
What a privilege it is to witness some of these life events of birds during a period of one month!
