Turning the earth to be a garden for all !

I have been asked why most of my reflections are related to birds or flowers in our garden!

I think that they both bring new sights and scenes to ponder upon each morning! I have some surprises sometimes, when Dulcie or Daphne stops near a flower or look up to a tree where a bird is perched to draw my attention! In that sense there are three followers of this tradition in our home. Anna and our pets.

Of late if visitors were to come when I am on the walk, they too join to pause to watch the flowers or birds. Our domestic workers too have been avid followers of changes in the flowering plants. If flowers are not seen for a while in some of them, they manure them. They make sure that the feeding station is clean and has enough food and water!

The flowers are also story tellers. The jasmine blossom in the last photo above, had dew on them yesterday. For the night temperature to drop so low from the day temperature of 36 degree celsius is rather unusual !

It was after I returned from the morning walk, Anna mentioned that Pope Francis has moved on at 7.35 Italian time yesterday! That stilled my thoughts and brought an interior pause..... My immediate thought was that Pope Francis was like these flowers above, giving himself in love, thoughtfulness, humility and compassion, carrying upon his heart   hurting people in pain and loss! Even his last appeal was to restore peace and restoration for people in Gaza!

Pope Francis during his 12 years of his office as the Pope was a radiant flower in the garden of life on earth!

Pope Francis was a fruit bearing tree upon earth, singing for us peace and goodwill!

Pope Francis walked on earth, revealing his interior attire of gentleness, humility and compassion!

Pope Francis lived at a time when the world was in turmoil and divisions between people and nations, calling us to 'love our neighbour as ourselves'!

Pope Francis lived on earth blending two realities- the temporal and eternal! He reflected the radiance of a God, whose presence He treasured in his life! He was a timely sign board to pilgrims on earth to the heart of God, where love and forgiveness  abide ! His way of living  endears us to God, who made Him live thinking of others!

I feel moved that he blessed others as a 'suffering servant', walking in the foot prints of Jesus of Nazareth !
