This Sunbird has been a regular visitor to our garden even during the week long rainy spell. It lives beyond the constraining influence of weather. It also visits when there is a dry period in between rain.
I was made to think about its attentiveness to its life.
I find a way of living that suits its habitat and pattern.
I notice as it adapts from its own learning of the environment.
This led me to revisit a theme, Life, Living and Learning, which engaged me time and again in exploring the formative process in adulthood.
Life is existential, temporal and transcendent. Therefore there is a mystical dimension to life.
Living is an art of becoming real, present, relational and integrated.
Learning is a process of engaging the transitions in life to experience movement into a transformative horizon.
I begin a series of posts to reflect on these thoughts !
It is when one see a Butterfly and traces its journey of metamorphosis, one feels the authenticity of the unfolding of life, far beyond what was being a larva or pupa !
There is more in our being, or our self, that is beyond the visible and the present! If only we have that consciousness, we would live knowing that we carry a 'treasure in an earthen vessel' !
