Anna and I bid farewell to Jersey Lilies in our garden for this season. We had flowers for the last four months in three sites. Now with the monsoon months ahead, we shall wait till September for the flowering season.
Their presence in the garden add colour and aesthetic feel to the garden!
Everyday they a tell a story of resilience and strength. They have slender stalks, but they withstand the wind and rain and bear the flowers ! They bring wellness within!
The flowers offer a message of hope, when one journeys through seasons of discouragements or stressful experiences.
It is the strength within which is called forth when faced with situations of need, stress or loss !
The domestic worker who has had to endure difficulties of all sorts in the recent months, told me the other day, that he finds strength for each day because of the hope of better days ahead! He turns to prayer, particularly repeating the Lord's Prayer Which Jesus of Nazareth taught His disciples, 'Our Father in heaven..'
So we wait for the next season of lilies in our garden! Till then, memories shall last!
